Polish developer CD Projekt released their long-awaited game Cyberpunk 2077 to the masses in early December but things didn’t turn out as planned with the game showing performance issues on the PS4 and Xbox One alongside a whole array of bugs and glitches. Some investors now filed a lawsuit against CD Projekt regarding these issues.
The lawsuit accuses CD Projekt of not providing enough information about the performance issues on PS4 and Xbox One as investors were told the game was playable when concerns over performance were raised. According to the lawsuit, CD Projekt was misleading when talking about the game and made statements that were false, which in turn damages the investors.

Damages
Chances are more investors will join the lawsuit, seeking damages. According to some other law firms in the United States as well as Europe, more lawsuits against CD Projekt and Cyberpunk 2077 may be filed. The developer hasn’t yet reacted publicly to the lawsuit, but earlier apologized for the state of the game as it is right now. CD Projekt has also been criticized for the multiple delays of the game and their treatment of their employees. Sony also removed the game from their store on PS4, offering full refunds.
Since the release of Cyberpunk 2077 CD Projekt’s stock has been falling as reports of the issues on console became clear. It’ll be interesting to see how the situation evolves over the next couple of weeks as more and more investors and employees seem to be turning on the developer.
