CS:GO – Moses joins Team Liquid as coach

As Eric “adreN” Hoag leaves North Amercian Team Liquid, popular caster Jason “moses” O’Toole takes over the position as the new head coach.

After some rumours in the CS:GO-scene, Team Liquid announced their new coach to be moses. He is a well-known figure in the community, as he was a professional player in the early years of Counter-Strike.

In recent years O’Toole has grown to be one of the most decorated casters in the scene, hosting various major matches and even finals alongside other icons such as Anders Blume and James Bardolph.

With the new career path moses hopes to lead his new team back to the very top of North American CS. As he states in the official announcement, he looks forward to “the idea of pursuing a major trophy and lifting it”.

A good decision?

Moses’ new position is a gamble for both of the parties. Even though the analyst has played professionally for quite a long time and been in the scene for over 20 years now, he has never been in a coaching or ingame-leading position.

That’s also one of the points his colleague Duncan “Thorin” Shields mentions in a lenghty analysis video about the whole situation. Still, O’Toole brings a lot of experience and heart into the team. So maybe we will see the gamble pay out and Liquid rise to the top of CS:GO once again.
