Just as the Road to Rio came to an end, cs_summit 6 has been announced. Teams can earn even more Rio Major Ranking (RMR) points at the new event.
Organized by Beyond the Summit, cs_summit 6 will be the second tournament for teams in NA and Europe to gather points for the CS:GO-Major in November. The event will be held from 22nd of June to the fith of July.
Just like every other event, cs_summit will be separated into different regions. This time around, there will be no groups in Oceania and South America though. That already sparked some outrage from players in said regions.
We’re excited to announce the first summer RMR events in NA and EU, hosted by @BeyondTheSummit from June 22nd to July 5th! While we intend to have a full RMR series in the fall, there will not be summer RMR events for the SA or OCE regions. https://t.co/BCzbOcn49S

More important than Road to Rio?
The tournament will offer 25% more RMR points than ESL One: Road to Rio. The 200.000 Dollar prize pool will be split across the two regions.
There is one more RMR tournament to be held in Fall, where even more points can be won. Currently, the TO to host the event is unknown.
By winning Road to Rio, Astralis is the leading team in the RMR rankings. That might change after cs-Summit 6 due to their latest rostermove.
