Cold War’s new patch fights bugs and adds Outbreak

Treyarch’s new patch on Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War that launched on February 25th primarily focused on mending the various bugs found across their player base, also adding the new Outbreak event.
Outbreak

This new zombies event gives an alternative to the normal zombies game mode, where two player combat hordes of zombies on maps based off the normal multiplayer rotation. For regular multiplayer, Apocalypse 25/7 has been released and involves a “grab bag” of game modes on the new Golden Triangle map set after a jungle cartel base. Modes involved in this mode are Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint.

Gun Game is also making a return to Call of Duty with 2v2 and 3v3 modes as well. As per usual, this mode involves a cycle of 20 weapons where you work from pistol to knife.  Along with the Outbreak event, double XP and double weapon XP has gone live in both the main game modes and Warzone until March 1st.

Bug Fixes

In the Zombies game mode, this patch fixed the recurring issue of players receiving less match bonus XP, zombie pather glitches, and the Aether Shroud bug that caused the field upgrade to lose its initial charge.

As far as matchmaking goes, Treyarch hotfixed an issues on Raid that allowed players to go outside the map bounds and in Checkmake specifically on Hardpoint wherein players could capture the objective also outside the boundary.
