CoD Vanguard players can’t tell friend from foe – ask for Modern Warfare factions to return

Now that the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta is live, many players are jumping in the latest installment of the franchise. New modes, new maps, there’s a lot for players to enjoy.

You can access the beta by either obtaining a beta code or preordering the game.

The feedback Sledgehammer Games is getting from this beta allows them to update Vanguard. One of the gripes of the grinding players, however, hasn’t been addressed (yet).

Players are reporting that it’s near impossible to distinguish between friendly and enemy forces. A perfect example is a Reddit clip by u/KiraElijah, where you can see him sniping opponents through a window only to realize there’s an enemy right next to him shooting through the same window.

Another player commented that it was very difficult to see the red dots above the players, indicating they are on the enemy team.

Modern Warfare didn’t suffer from this problem, as factions made it very clear what team a player was on. The uniforms even got as detailed as changing with the primary gun that someone was using. None of this was enough to confuse players, as it remained obvious what team a player was playing for.

There hasn’t been any communication through Sledgehammer Games regarding this issue, but players are pushing for the return of the uniforms to make their time in Vanguard more enjoyable.
