Cloud9 reportedly has eyes set on Xeppaa

Yet another player might be joining the Cloud9 CS:GO roster, as the organization is reportedly working on signing Erick “Xeppaa” Bach (20) according to 1pv.fr and HLTV. If he is in fact joining up with Cloud9, that would bring their total number of players to six.

Xeppaa is currently a free agent as he played for Chaos Esports Club, who decided to let their CS:GO team go at the start of 2021. The rifler found some success with the organisation over the past couple of months, winning the DreamHack Masters Winter NA and IEM Beijing Online NA. The fact that a team such as Cloud9 is interested in him should come as no surprise.

Six-man roster

If Cloud9 is able to sign Xeppaa to their roster, he would join a team that already consists of five players. The general manager of Cloud9, Henry “HenryG” Greer already talked about playing with a sixth man in the past in an interview with HLTV. “I plan to announce a sixth player as we open up shop. When we have things going, I’m going to have an active sixth player, who is not going to be on the bench.“ A prime example of the six-man roster would be Team Vitality, who have recently pulled it off with great success.

Recently Cloud9 also parted ways with their coach Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović. Aside from picking up Xeppaa, they will probably also look for a new coach before they get back into the action in February, during the IEM Katowice play-in (February 16 to 17). Chris “Elmapuddy” Tebbit is rumored to be close to signing in the coaching role.
