Call of Duty Warzone World Series announced with $300.000 prize pool for each event

In a big announcement, Activision revealed the Call of Duty: World Series of Warzone, which will feature a total of four tournaments, each with a $300.000 prize pool.

The World Series of Warzone will be played fully online. There will be separate competitions for trios as well as duos for North America and Europe. “The first competition starts with players based in North America for the World Series of Warzone: Trios NA” Activision says. “All 50 trio squads will compete in a custom lobby for six matches, accumulating points based on kills and overall placement of their squads. The performance of the 50 trio squads will determine their share of $200,000.”

Aside from the competition mentioned above, there’s also still the Captain’s Cup, which features some of the biggest names and influencers in the Call of Duty scene. Each captain will participate in a snake draft, with them gaining points based on the results of the teams they’ve assembled. The winning captain will win $20.000 with each member of his team also taking home $1.000.

There’ll be qualifier tournaments which will start on May 24 where the 32 best teams from the four qualifiers will compete in a double elimination bracket. The winner will get to join the NA trios tournament. You can find more information on the tournament and qualifiers on the Call of Duty website.
