Call of Duty Warzone Pacific patch delayed

Call of Duty Warzone’s first major update since the release of Vanguard, the Pacific Patch, has been pushed back. The substantial patch was set to include the highly anticipated Warzone map, Caldera. The new release date for season one of the Vanguard patch is December 8th. Though this is only one week longer than originally expected, fans will have to wait a bit longer before trying out the new map.

Early access owners will be able to play Caldera on December 8th, while the rest of the Warzone players that do not own Vanguard will get to pick up the new map the following day. No details have been shared as to why this delay occurred.

Season 1 will introduce an all new Battle Pass featuring weapon blue prints, new Operator skins, and finishing moves. Some new cosmetics will also include  intros. Sledgehammer are also bringing in three new multi-player maps along with three new operators with the pacific patch (useable between Vanguard and Warzone).

Caldera is far and away the main attraction the season one patch. The map will not only feature a new environment, but also aerial combat. Plane based combat will be a first for the battle royale title as well as the franchise generally.

With so much anticipation already built up, this next week will be an exercise in patience for Call of Duty Warzone fans.
