Call of Duty Vanguard Season 2 delayed until February 14

Call of Duty Vanguard Season Two has been delayed until February 14th, twelve days after the initially expected launch. The content drop for Call of Duty Warzone will also be delayed until February 14th. The extra time is meant to give developers more time to work on prevalent glitches and bugs.

In the announcement issued by the official Call of Duty Twitter account, the team wrote “We’ve deployed a number of updates, but more needs to be done. Thank you for being patient while we delay the release of Season Two.” The development team clearly stated that the patch is only being delayed to ‘polish’ the end product for players, instead of rushing out a faulty Season Two for the sake of time.

This news follows another wave of strikes from Activision Blizzard employee, with several quality assurance testers from Raven Softwares taking part. While uproar has only continue in the company following the acquisition by Microsoft, players have reported that both Warzone and Vanguard has been left in nearly unplayable states. Though there has been no clearly stated connection between the two, many expect the strikes have impacted the game’s state.

Call of Duty has certainly experienced a recent rough patch. Players have reported countless bugs since the launch of Caldera and the Pacific Patch while professionals have heavily criticized Vanguard’s balancing problems. As the Microsoft deal only continues to shake up the company, it is completely expected that more delays may be on the way.
