The Ranked mode has been something players have wanted for quite a while and it’s finally here, more than three months after the original release of the game. Originally the playlist was supposed to come out on February 15, but due to some unforeseen issues in testing, launch has been postponed.
Ranked Play update: In retail testing prior to launch, we discovered a stat-breaking issue that only appears in the live environment. As a result, the Beta will not go live tomorrow morning as intended.
Resolving this is a top priority, and we’ll have an update on timing ASAP. pic.twitter.com/VjzXe8wnP3

Skill Divisions
Placements will be handled by Skill Divisions, of which there are seven, with five tiers in each Division where players will be put into following their placement matches. Players will play five placement matches in total, with the results being used to gauge your skill, after which you’ll be put in a Division. Vanguard will be using an ELO system and players will be able to see their ELO (or in this case Skill Rating) to see where they rank overall. Obviously, winning moves you up in the ranking by addition of points, while losing sees you lose points.
Players don’t have to play Ranked Play just for competition, as there are also some rewards available to those who participate. You’ll be able to earn numerous weapon blueprints, new calling cards and camos by playing through your matches, in this case the 4v4 competitive playlist. If you end up in one of the two top Divisions at the end of the season, you’ll also receive a ‘special reward’.
