Call of Duty Vanguard delay Secrets of the Pacific event

After a slew of crashes following the release of the Secrets of the Pacific event, Call of Duty Vanguard developer Sledgehammer Game has taken the event offline. They took to Twitter to inform their players they’re working on fixing the issue. “We’re investigating widespread crashing issues in Vanguard. Stay tuned.”

At the same time, Blizzard has reported that they’re currently under a DDOS attack, which is having repercussions for Battle.net. It’s currently unclear if both the issues are related, but Sledgehammer Games went on to retweet an earlier tweet by Blizzard in regards to the issue. “We are currently experiencing a DDoS attack, which may result in high latency and disconnections for some players. We are actively working to mitigate this issue.”

As for now, there hasn’t been a timeframe shared on when the issues would be resolved and when Secrets of the Pacific would be available again. The event itself serves as a teaser for Warzone players, who are eagerly anticipating the new Caldera map, which is set to be released on December 8. During the Secrets of the Pacific event players will be able to get rewards for completing task, which in itself hint back to the upcoming map in the form of artefacts or other ways.
