Call of Duty Vanguard Beta patch notes: All Maps and Game Modes

The Beta of Call of Duty: Vanguard is coming up, just like the Multiplayer reveal on September 7th. Sledgehammer Games now announced the maps, modes, fixes and more for this date.

As announced, the Call of Duty Vanguard Beta will be available for PlayStation on September 10th and for all other platforms at September 16th. There was not a lot of information about this testing phase, but the developer revealed a lot more now. Now we know players can play on five different maps and even six different game modes. There will also be new content which will be added during the beta, which will be active for two weekends.

Call of Duty Vanguard Beta: Maps and Game Modes

There will be 16 multiplayer maps at the release of Vanguard, but during the Beta players can expect five of them:

  • Champion Hill
  • Gavutu
  • Red Star
  • Hotel Royal
  • Eagle’s Nest (only the second weekend)

To play on these maps, we ofcourse need some game modes. There will be six of them, which gives players plenty of opportunities to explore the maps and test the game. The full list of game modes:

  • Team Deathmatch
  • Domination
  • Champion Hill (Solo, Duo, Trio)
  • Kill Confirmed
  • Patrol
  • Search and Destroy (only the second weekend)

Some of those game modes are well-known, but Patrol is new to the list. This game mode is similar to Hardpoint and drives around an objective, where players fight around a scoring zone that is moving around the map. It can be expected to be quite the same as Hardpoint.

Call of Duty Vanguard: Compat Pacing

In this new Call of Duty game, players get the chance to pick the lobby size of their game, so they can decide the Combat Pacing. There are three options to pick between:

  • Tactical: This is always 6v6 and brings the experience that players are used to from the classic Call of Duty.
  • Assault: This game mode gives you bigger teams and thus more targets to kill. Lobbies will be filled with 20 to 28 players during Beta weekend.
  • Blitz: These lobbies are full of action, with 28 to 48 players during Beta weekend.
