Call of Duty League combines matches to create “Super Week”

Due to the recent power grid issues in North America following the weather conditions, the Call of Duty League was forced to reschedule some of their matches.

Originally, we would’ve had a traditional Call of Duty League weekend from February 18 to 21, but league officials talked about the current situation with the teams and decided to move everything to one “super week”, which will feature 20 matches played out over 7 days. They released a statement on their website. “With 24 pro players currently stationed in Dallas, TX, we want to provide teams and players with more time to get safely situated and to effectively prepare for upcoming matches leading up to the first Major Tournament of the season.”

The matches of the upcoming week are quite important as well, as they will have implications in regards to the seeding of the teams in the first Major. A lot of voices in the community, such as Hector “HECZ” Rodriguez, have spoken out in favour of the decision. “Yesterday’s call with the league was fruitful, they were able to turn around the best solution (we voted on) to move back matches to a more stable time (next week), so, again shout out to the league.”

The first match of the Super Week is set to start on Monday, February 22, with the Florida Mutineers playing against the Los Angeles Guerrillas. Fans can tune in at 09:00 PM CET.
