Call of Duty blog shows Caldera details and Vanguard update

We don’t have to wait long to enjoy the newest Warzone map anymore, as it releases on December 8, and now we’ve got even more insight into what we can expect. The map itself consists of over 15 areas, which include over a hundred smaller points of interest to investigate, according to the blog. Locations include the Caldera Power Plant, Caldera Terminal, Clear Water Lagoon and more.

Warzone Pacific will also feature a lot more content in the form of weapons and operators, as part of the integration with Vanguard. This means that the 38 core weapons of Vanguard will be put in the game alongside 2 new ones from the Battle Pass, with new operators and calling cards, emblems and more also being added. The new featured playlist Vanguard Royale will also be made available “with a game mode that puts a fresh set of vehicles and a streamlined Loadout and weapon pool on the brand-new map,” according to the blog.

Finally there’s some smaller tweaks and updates coming to the game as well. Winning the Gulag will now give you a weapon upon dropping, Dead Silence is getting a nerf, Gas masks won’t be as disruptive to other actions and you can now wade through shallow water to conceal footsteps. New contracts are also added such as a Supply Drop Contract, which will drop a crate on the battlefield but with the location only revealed to those who have the contract, and Big Game Bounty, a bounty put on the team with the highest kill count.
