Cloud9 Blaber wins 2021 LCS Spring Split MVP Award

Cloud9 jungler Robert “Blaber” Huang bested Team Liquid’s top laner Barney “Alphari” Morris for the title of 2021 LCS Spring Split MVP. This is his second title, after winning the 2020 Spring Split MVP as well.

During the seven-week split, Blaber led his role in pretty much all statistics. He ranked as the number one jungler in kills, assists, first blood rate, total team kill share, and damage.

It is quite a feat to be named the MVP in a roster that includes Perkz, Fudge, Zven and Vulcan, all-stars in their own right.

Having already qualified for the Spring Split finals, Cloud9 now awaits the winner of TSM vs Team Liquid, the latter being the team they already beat 3-1 earlier in the playoffs. There’s only one best-of-five standing between Blaber and a trip to Iceland.

The 2021 Spring Split resembles the 2020 split in many ways. Cloud9 ended the regular season in first place, even going 17-1 last year. They flew through the playoffs and defeated FlyQuest 3-0 in the finals. Unfortunately, MSI was canceled due to the pandemic, so there was no icing on C9’s cake.

The theme this year looks the same. A dominant star-studded team, led by MVP Blaber is in the finals. Different this year is that the Cloud9 jungler will be able to showcase his skills against the best in the world, should they win the finals.
