2019 Fortnite World Champion Bugha added to the Icon skin series

The legendary Fortnite player, Bugha, has been immortalized in the game he made his name in.

Content creator and professional Fortnite player, Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, has officially been added to the icon skin series. Bugha stands as the first, and only, Fornite World Champion. Epic Games has yet to hold another solos World Champion ever since its first in 2019, making Bugha the only reigning champion. Bugha now stands among other Fortnite legends such as Ninja and TheGrefg.

This new icons skin will be available as part a limited time game mode dubbed ‘Bugha’s Late Game.’ Bugha will officially hit the Fortnite shop on July 20th. Accompanying the official Bugha skin will be several cosmetic items such as the Bugha Blade axe and the ‘Bring It Around’ emote.

The Bugha skin will have several different variations. The Bugha Elite Style and World Champion Style Bugha will also be available. The Champion Style features the exact outfit that Bugha wore on the day of his World Championship win. Though two years ago, Bugha’s win in the Fortnite World Cup still stands as one of the most significant moment in Fortnite’s relatively young esports history.

Along with winning a massive prize pool for the tournament itself, Bugha will now be immortalized in Fortnite. The Icon skin series now hosts: Bugha, Ninja, Major Lazer, Lazerbeam, Lachlan, Travis Scott, LoserFruit, Marshmello, and TheGrefg.
