The earlier leaks about the newest map in VALORANT turned out to be true, as Breeze was announced as the newest map in the game.
Following multiple (minor) leaks surrounding the map, Riot Games announced the newest map on their Twitter account with a video, where the developers describe the map itself and the train of thought behind it. “The map is a tropical paradise that offers wide open spaces, beautiful scenery and plenty of angles to destroy your opponents.” Breeze will enter the game on April 27.

The developers also run players through the most important places on the map, allowing them to get a big more insight in the playstyle required to navigate it. Throughout Breeze there seems to be a focus on open spaces and a multitude of angles that players will have to learn to use. In comparison to other maps Breeze does feel like a little bit of an outlier, as the other maps in VALORANT do feel a little more claustrophobic and offer more narrow pathways and tighter angles.
It’ll be interesting to see how the community takes to the map, which does feature a playstyle that’s a little different from what we’ve become accustomed to. People who want to play Breeze will have to wait until April 27, when Episode 2 Act 3 hits the servers.
