Instead of a big offline event we’ll be getting our usual fix of Blizzcon in an online format, filled to the brim with new announcements, updates and more.
For those interested in watching, Blizzconline will kick off with an opening ceremony, scheduled to start on February 19 at 11:00 PM CET. The event will run until February 20 and alongside all the workshops and streaming events that’ve been scheduled already, we’ll be getting some announcements and updates regarding our favorite games as well. Yet, what exactly should we be looking out for? Let’s take a quick look at the possibilities.
Diablo 4
While we’re almost sure to get an announcement for the remastered edition of Diablo 2, details regarding Diablo 4 are not guaranteed despite the game being announced and presented at BlizzCon 2019. We’ll certainly be getting something at least but it’s difficult to nail down what exactly it’ll be. The developers have already shared bits and pieces with us, but chances are we might be seeing a first playable alpha or a more general overview of the game.

We shouldn’t be holding out hope for a possible release date yet, as Blizzard has come out to say the game won’t be releasing in 2021, pointing and hinting more towards 2022 in regards to a possible release.
World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft content is something we should be getting quite a bit of. On one hand, Burning Crusade Classic has already been leaked, so it should be announced and revealed in the upcoming days. We’ll also see more Shadowlands stuff, especially in regards to 9.0.5 and 9.1, alongside more information about the Wandering Ancient mount.

It’s currently unclear as to what we can expect in regards to 9.0.5 and 9.1, as there are quite a few possibilities, but most things hint at a possible new raid, new quests or some brand new cinematics.
Other
Chances are slim we’ll be getting a lot of info on Overwatch 2, as Blizzard has already ruled out a 2021 release and hasn’t given a definitive release date yet. Following the community outrage in regards to that, they might offer a sneak peek at some of the content however. More content (in the form of an expansion or otherwise) for Hearthstone should also be in the cards, as the community has been clamoring for it and it’s been a long time coming.
You should also expect new mobile games (Diablo Immortal?), as Blizzard has been exploring the market quite heavily and has talked about the topic multiple times in the past. There’s a lot more games we’d like to have some more updates on, such as Starcraft-related content for example, but chances of getting some new exciting stuff on that front aren’t all that high
