Banned players in Warzone won’t be able to play Vanguard

The Call of Duty Vanguard beta began last weekend and will have its final play test before the game’s full launch this upcoming weekend. Plenty of players loaded up the beta to find a surprising message though. Players with Warzone bans found out that they will not be able to play Call of Duty Vanguard.

It has since been confirmed that if you have a standing ban – either hardware or account bans – you will not be able to play Vanguard. Activision and Raven Softwares have recently ramped up bans and protections against cheaters in the past month. Over 100,000 accounts were banned from Warzone with reportedly more following this initial wave. Activision also announced that a new anti-cheat software will be used in both Warzone and Vanguard moving forward. It can be assumed that anyone banned on one will receive a ban on the other game moving forward.

Many of these bans also prevent hackers and those penalized for cheating from creating new accounts. Since bans are tied to hardware instead of accounts, players will have to go through significant hoops before they can play again. Since the notice has been made, there have been plenty of player citing that they have been unfairly prevented from playing Vanguard. Activision has a system in place for players to make a claim to be unbanned if they were initially banned by mistake.

Call of Duty Vanguard will release on November 5th for all platforms, but you can play the final beta weekend starting on Friday.
