Back to World War II – New Warzone Map inbound with Call of Duty Vanguard

New announcements have been made in regards to the upcoming Call of Duty Vanguard. Developer Sledgehammer Games is still aiming for a release in this year although they will skip this year’s E3 as VGC reports.

The new game will be teased via live events in Warzone similar to th Black Ops: Cold War release. But there is even more to come for the Call of Duty Battle Royale. Concurrent to the release of Vanguard Verdansk will be replaced by a new and bigger map located in the Pacific.

Correspondingly battles over water will most likely play a large role in contrast to their absence in the current Warzone.

Same engine as Modern Warfare

Vanguard is supposedly going to run on the same engine as Moder Warfare 2019, which is also used in Warzone. This should make for a much more fluent integration of the new Call of Duty to Warzone than it was the case with Black Ops Cold War.

More Call of Duty:

Vanguard is also going to have a new campaign, a multiplayer and a zombie mode just like Cold War. The additional content should still be easier to manage due to the technical overlap between Warzone and Vanguard.

The Battle Royale is now a fully fledged part of the franchise that is here to stay. Whether or not the “standard” multiplayer is going to benefit from that remains to be seen.
