Autimatic returns to CS:GO with new Evil Geniuses roster

Autimatic was officially revealed as Evil Geniuses most recent addition to the new CS:GO roster. Evil Geniuses has slowly revealed its 2022 CS:GO roster, announcing Stewie2K only one day prior. The prospective 2022 roster will include Cerq, Brehze, Stewie2K, RUSH, and Autimatic.

The accomplished CS:GO player is most notable for his time on Cloud9, where he won the ELEAGUE Boston Major. Alongside Stewie2K and RUSH, Autimatic will reunite with 3/5 of the Major winning team. Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and CS:GO’s transition to Europe, Autimatic moved to Riot Games’ tactical FPS, VALORANT.

For almost an entire year Autimatic played in VALORANT with T1, one of the first organizations to enter the esports space. Despite his many attempts, Autimatic found little success in the title, as the squad did not win a single tournament in 2021. Shortly after failing to qualify for VCT Champions, Autimatic departed from the VALORANT roster.

In his announcement Tweet, Autimatic expressed that he was excited to return to CS:GO under the new banner. “I’m happy to come back to my first love and excited for this new chapter in my life,” wrote the newly minted CS:GO player. The 25-year-old player is expected to be a rifler on the new iteration of Evil Geniuses, as Cerq will remain the squad’s primary AWPer.

Evil Geniuses had a rather disappointing end to 2021, dropping out early in the PGL Stockholm Major. Though many expected the organization to drop out of CS:GO, the squad has not only remained with the title but put forth significant resources into developing this new roster.
