Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6 & more – All announcements from Ubisoft Forward

On July 12 Ubisoft hosted the Ubisoft Forward digital event as replacement for the cancelled E3. Headlining the barrage of announcements were Far Cry 6 and Assassin’s Creed.

Although fans were looking forward to the newest announcements for their favorite games, the event was overshadowed by the recent scandals of “toxic behaviour” and sexual harrasment involving Ubisoft’s upper management.

As Ubisoft Forward was a pre-recorded event the company did not release any statement acknowledging the current situation.

Far Cry 6 releases on Februar 18, 2021

The biggest reveal during Ubisoft Forward was a new Far Cry. The sixth installment of the popular series will take place on the island Yara with Anton Castillo as main antagonist. Castillo will be portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito, who is probably most famous for his role as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Far Cry 6 will be released on February 18 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC and also on the streaming service Google Stadia.

Watch Dogs Legion scheduled for the end of October

Another heavy hitter in Ubisoft’s lineup was Watch Dogs Legion. Fans can look forward to its release on October 29 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Ubisoft also announced, that a port for the next generation consoles is also planned and will be for free via “Smart Delivery”.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases November 17

The one title most fans were looking forward to was without a doubt Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft revealed the first glimpses of Gameplay for the new title in their franchise and also announced a release date. On November 17 the game will release on all current platforms and will also release for the next generation consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Hyper Scape launches Open Beta on PC

After their prior technical test Battle Royale Hyper Scape will go into open beta. PC players will now have he ability to download the game and start playing. There will also be a Battle Pass available to grind out.

Ubisoft also presented Brawlhalla and Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad for mobile platforms iOS and Android. Brawlhalle will be released on August 6, while Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad will start on August 27.
