Are Rambo and Die Hard coming to Call of Duty?

New teasers for another franchise crossover have appeared on Call of Duty’s Twitter. Together with the earlier hints about a potential Rambo crossover, both collabs could be headed our way soon. However there are no clear release dates yet.

The good old duct

For Die Hard fans the recent picture of Call of Duty’s Twitter is obvious. But for players, who have not seen the movies it might not be as clear right away. But even those should know the iconic “Yippee-ki-yay, motherf*cker” that is clearly beeing alluded to in the tweeted picture.

There are even more hints in the picture: The name of the firm “Nakatomi Duct Cleaning” is also a clear reference to Nakatomi Plaza from the movies. That is where John McClane is trapped in the movie and has to free several hostages during the course of the movie. To sneak around the place, John McClane uses the air ducts to move, ducts that prominently feature in the tweet.

If you look even further the post has even more hints. The movie was released 1988 the same “founding year” of the company Nakatomi Duct Cleaning. Even the first letter looks like the lighter John McClane uses inside the duct.

Should you still be sceptic, you can go to the linked page that not only directly mentions Verdansk, but also has several puns all pointing to Die Hard.

We still don’t know when exactly the collab will go live, but it should be soon.
