Arcane Act III ends the series on a high note

The hit Netflix animated series based off of the League of Legends universe, Arcane, has drawn to a close after Act III. The final part of the series culminates the story of Jinx, Vi, Caitlin, and the various other characters featured thus far in the series. While the struggle between Piltover and Zaun is far from over, the series has ended its first season on a high note.

The series has amassed a huge audience, topping the charts on Netflix and finding itself among the platform’s ‘Most Watched’ category for over 50 countries. Across the various reviewing sites, Arcane has earned incredible scores. The animated series has a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes and an impressive 9.4 out of 10 on IMDB.

The third and final act of the series puts the conflict between Piltover and Zaun take center stage. The characters of both cities clash in the climatic final, while the individual plotlines of Viktor, Heimerdinger, and more are also on display. With a cliff hanger finale, the third act perfectly sticks the landing set up by the first two chapters.

The incredible success of Riot Games’ first animated venture immediately begs the question ‘will there be more?’ Riot almost immediately answered this question, as the multi-media company confirmed that production has already started on season two. The second season will supposedly continue the story set up by the first season.

With season two already under way, we could see Riot’s animation division massively expand. Arcane is getting a season two, but Riot’s ambition could extend beyond a single series.
