Riot August, the lead champion designer of League of Legends, spoke out about the current state of Zeri on Twitter and what their thoughts on her are. “Zeri the carry’s win rate is still scary. We’re working on nerfs to make her more fair. Our goals are to lower overall damage and mobility, shift damage out of base AD to decrease power with sheen and shift armor scaling into health (makes her Passive shielding and HP purchases worse).”

We’re working on nerfs to make her more fair…iGoals:

It’s certainly not the first time Zeri has been the target of incoming nerfs, as Riot Games has struggled with balancing their newest champion basically from the start, with her receiving hotfixes and nerfs in almost every patch since her release. Her win rate sits upward of 54% in the higher tiers, while sitting at over 51% in Silver.
The upcoming nerfs could see a change in an area which hurts Zeri the most: mobility. With her getting less movement speed stacks early, players will find it easier to gank and shut her down in the early changes, preventing her from getting out of control. Many junglers and players have complained that it’s too difficult to find picks on Zeri, leaving her a little too safe.
