Update: Amouranth unbanned on Twitch after three days

Three days ago popular streamer Amouranth had her Twitch account banned alongside her social media accounts on Instagram and TikTok. Now her Twitch ban has been lifted after three days. Her other accounts however seem to still be banned. There’s still no word on how or why Amouranth was banned initially and Twitch normally doesn’t disclose that information publicly, so we can only guess.

Amouranth herself hasn’t reacted to the news of being unbanned yet, but chances are she’ll be back to streaming on the platform soon enough. Amouranth was the most-watched female Twitch streamer of the past three months, even beating out the popular Pokimane and featured over 12 million views in that time alone. Despite the bans she faced, Amouranth remains a Twitch partner.

When it comes to these Twitch bans, Amouranth is sort of a controversial figure. She’s known to ride the line of what’s acceptable in the terms of service and has been criticized in the past for overly sexualized content. Along her Twitch channel, she also maintains a Patreon account where she shares NFSW pictures.

Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa has been banned off of Twitch for the fifth time since 2019. Amouranth was not only banned off of Twitch but also TikTok and Instagram, confirmed by her Tweet simply stating “banned everywhere.” The ASMR and popular pool streamer has millions of followers between all three social media platforms, though have all been removed from their respective platforms.

There has been no reason officially released for the sudden ban. Every ban Amouranth has received thus far has been a maximum three-day suspension from Twitch, however no information regarding the length of this penalty has been stated. Amouranth’s most recent ban came in June.

Amouranth has been a divisive figure on Twitch for most of her streaming career. Earlier this year, Amouranth pioneered the ‘Hot Tub Streaming meta’ wherein the IRL section was flooded with streamers broadcasting from pools and hot tubs, writing subs and donos on their bodies. This massive wave lead to a suspension on her channel and restrictions on advertising revenue as sponsors began to pull out of Twitch generally.

Only months later, Amouranth has lead another movement in the ASMR genre. In the most recent Twitch data breach, it was revealed that Amouranth was the forty-eighth highest paid streamer on Twitch. It is clear that Amouranth is one of the most influential streamers on the platform, whether audiences like her or not and that she has greatly impacted the platform.

Whether or not all of her suspensions are related is unclear, and we can only wait for a response.
