All Dates for League of Legends Clash in 2022

The in-client tournament Clash in Riot’s League of Legends has been one of the most popular features for many players. Here are the dates in 2022 so that you can clear your schedules for competition and special rewards.

How does Clash work?

You have five days time to gather your team and register for the Clash cup on the weekend. Then you will get put into a bracket featuring eight teams on saturday or sunday. Do not forget the check-in period before the start of the tournament to confirm your participation.

In order to take part in Clash players need to fulfill the following conditions:

  • The account needs to be at least level 30
  • All placement matches for the ranked queue in Summoner’s Rift must be completed.
  • The League account needs to be verified with a phone number to prevent smurfs from participating.

Your opponents will be in the same skillrange as you because teams will be split into classes for Clash. From Class I, the highest to Class IV, the lowest. You can play up to three matches per day. Even if you lose your match, you can still compete against the other losing teams in the bracket for consolation prizes.

To prevent teams waiting for their opponents for too long, Clash has a timelimit. Once a game goes past 60 minutes turrets get weaker, 5 minutes later buildings will continuosly lose HP and at 70 minutes the game will end.

You can take a look at your opponents before the match starts.

For each participation in a Clash match every player on your team needs to use a Clash Ticket. You can earn those by completing missions, getting them from your teammates or from the shop. The shop also offers premium tickets, which unlock better rewards.

Clash Rewards and Victory Points

You probably have seen banners brought by your opponents on the side of the lanes. You can unlock these by achieving a number of Victory Points in Clash cups. The more you earn the better banners can be unlocked. Victory Points scale with your skill class and the amount of tickets spent. They will accumulate over two Clash weekends before disappearing, so make sure to spend them in time.

As each Clash cup has a different name you can see from the colors and sigils on the banner from which cup the player earned it from. The more banners you collect over a season the higher level your banner will be.

Every Clash participant also gets another Orbs or Capsules on top after exiting the bracket. Depending on the performance (and ticket you used) of your team you get different rewards. Skin shards, tickets, orange essences and more can be found in these. So make sure to perform well for better rewards.

First place will also be awarded with a trophy, that will be exhibited on the Nexus for two weeks. You can also showcase them in your Summoner’s profile afterwards.
