After VALORANT roster issues: JasonR leaves FaZe Clan

Jason “JasonR” Ruchelski, a former CS:GO professional player and and current VALORANT player, has left FaZe Clan only six weeks after signing for the organization. Issues reportedly arose when JasonR had no say in who the organization signed for the VALORANT roster.

JasonR was among the first players Faze Clan picked up to establish their VALORANT team, alongside Corey “corey” Nigra. According to JasonR, FaZe Clan didn’t consult him on new signings for the VALORANT roster, something he did not agree with after being named the team captain, resulting in him leaving the organization after just six weeks. JasonR will be looking to start his own team to compete in VALORANT, something that was also confirmed by FaZe Clan on twitter.

The departure of JasonR does give FaZe Clan some trouble as they will be participating in their very own FaZe Clan Invitational, but they currently have only three players signed on after picking up Johnny “Marved” Nguyen and Zachary “zachaREEE” Lombardo. It is very likely that the team will be competing regardless of JasonR leaving by utilising stand-in players, something they have done before. According to JasonR, the team had been practicing without him already.

People got a bit more information during JasonR’s Twitch livestream, where he briefly touched on the whole situation. “Marved just got announced on the FaZe roster but I’m not playing with FaZe. I’m not practicing with the roster, I had no say who they were picking up at all.”
