It’s been quite a while since we’ve had a presentation coming from Nintendo about their upcoming games, since June 2021 actually. Now a leaker and insider (SamusHunter) has come forward saying that Nintendo will potentially be doing another Nintendo Direct somewhere in September or early October.
Aspects that may point to some postponements:
-There are some Japanese holidays next week, so I don’t rule out that they might air it anyway. The next one after that instead will be TGS
-Metroid Dread previews will be released soon, so the week they fall will be dedicated to them— Samus Hunter | Nintendo Leak inside (@SamusHunter2) September 14, 2021
SamusHunter talked at length about the possibility of a Nintendo Direct in September and shared some of the biggest reasons as to why it might be coming “Third party titles had several announcements planned for this month, as well as release dates. I had already listed several of them at the beginning of the month. Titles like Triangle Strategy have several announcements planned and it might give a final marketing push to Metroid Dread and the upcoming Switch OLED.

Aside from the speculation on a Nintendo Direct, SamusHunter also says they expect more (and more regular) news on games such as Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl as well as Mario Golf, Mario Party, Advance Wars and Animal Crossing. While most of this is speculation, it seems like chances are pretty big we’ll be getting a Nintendo Direct and additional news on their games somewhere late September or October. With a lot of interesting upcoming games on the side of Nintendo, there’s a lot to look forward to and fans are rightfully excited.
