Riot Games added six more champions to the list of champions who’ll receive a hotfix in patch 11.1 as they work towards the release of the newest season. With the new season we’ve also received some brand new items to play with but it seems to be a balancing act to get everything going smoothly as the meta is shaken up.
As usual Mark “Scruffy” Yetter gave an update regarding the upcoming 11.1 patch, announcing Graves, Malphite, Ivern and Taliyah to receive nerfs, joining the likes of Master Yi, Fiddlesticks and Pantheon who will also see some changes. Sivir and Varus will be added to the ‘buff’ list, where Ryze, Qiyana, Xayah, Karma and Gnar currently also reside.

The updates to Sivir and Varus will be welcomed by ADC mains, as both champions had some difficulty in the current environment against picks such as Miss Fortune and Jhin. Varus gets huge buffs to his Q with a decreased mana cost and cooldown, while Sivir sees her base mana increase tremendously (284 to 325) alongside damage buffs to her Q.
Jungle terror
When it comes to nerfs, some of them are well deserved. Graves and Ivern have been running rampant in the jungle during preseason and benefit greatly from some of the new items. Ivern will see his Q targeted with a higher cooldown while Graves sees his base AD decreased from 68 to 66. Finally Malphite and Taliyah will see some changes, with Malphite seeing his W (and E) damage armor ratio decreased, while Taliyah takes a hit to her passive movement speed to make her jungling (and roaming) less effective.
