5 Things you should know before the Release of Call of Duty: Vanguard

1. When can you start playing?

You can already pre-load Call of Duty: Vanguard. If you have done so, you can start playing at midnight on release day (November 5th).

PC players need to be a bit more patient as their launch time is fixed according to the map below.

2. Battle Pass

If you are currently not playing a lot of Warzone and not interested in Black Ops Cold War anymore, you don’t need to force yourself to grind. The current Battle Pass and its rewards will carry over to Vanguard and can be leveled in its new multiplayer.

3. No story for Zombies on Release

While the storyline from Black Ops: Cold War’s Zombie mode will be continued in Vanguard, it won’t be on release. Players can familiarize themselves with the new maps and mechanics but the story will only be continued once the first season of Vanguard starts.

4. More flexibility for Perks and Weapons

Sledgehammer Games already announced that Dead Silence would be buffed. They also revealed Ninja as a new Perk earlier. This offers you two options to reduce the sound of your steps now as Ghost remains in the game.

Additional flexibility will also be there for your loadouts. With up to 10 attachments per weapon you have more than enough choice.

5. Missions return

The new mission system from 2019’s Modern Warfare returns. This allows you to use challenges to unlock Blueprints and more. Make sure to clear them and the Camouflage Challenges to earn your rewards.
