5 Players to watch at the European Masters 2021 Spring

With every tournament come expectations and with one of the biggest European tournament coming up, we have set ours.

The European Masters 2021 Spring Main Event starts today, and all the legends of tomorrow are playing in it. With 7 out of 10 players in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Final having played in this tournament, it is a must watch to keep up to date with European League of Legends professional players. We have made it easier for you and made a list of five players to watch out for in the tournament. These players come in no particular order but are ones to keep an eye out for.

Of course, there are a lot more players that deserve to be in the spotlight and that is what European Masters is all about. However, if we had to choose just five it would be these ones. They have either impressed us immensely regionally or have already given us a glimpse of glory in the past. Without further ado, these are five players to look out for.

Saken (midlaner) – Karmine Corp #1 LFL 2021 Spring Playoffs

The first, but not the last, midlaner on our list is the French midlaner of Karmine Corp. A new organization that took the LFL by storm. Not only did they finish first but they did it in such a dominant fashion that they instantly set the expectations of them being the favorite in this tournament. At the center of it all is Saken, a LFL veteran who has played and subbed in for some of the biggest teams in the LFL. With his deep champion pool varying from control mages to an occasional Yone pick (on which he has a 17.0 KDA) he is more than ready to face all the other midlaners at the tournament.

Chres (midlaner) – AGO ROGUE #1 Ultraliga Season 5 Playoffs

After winning the last European Masters, the Ultraliga has proved itself one of the strongest regions in Europe. With that comes high expectations of Polish superstars in the region and one of them is Chres, the midlaner for AGO ROGUE. AGO ROGUE lost all their players to the LEC and/or other major ERLs. This meant they had to build a new line-up from scratch. They still managed to dominate the region and finished first, with big credits to Chres. He held an 8.58 KDA in the playoffs over 10 games with control mages in the midlane. He has mastered the meta and it is now time to show Europe what he has in store.

Hadess (jungler) – UCAM Esports Club #1 LVP SuperLiga 2021 Spring Playoffs

The LVP had quite some shake-ups and no one really knew what to expect, but that did not hold UCAM back as they came out the gates swinging. Behind their Dutch jungler Hades, they managed to win it all against expectations of most analysts. He showcased junglers that were atypical, like the Kha’Zix, and made them work even in the final. He is a player to keep track of especially if he is on a carry jungler.

Advienne (support) – BT EXCEL #1 NLC 2021 Spring Playoffs

The first and only support on our list is Advienne from BT EXCEL, EXCEL’s Academy team. The NLC never looked strong in particular at the European Masters and with Fnatic.Rising not even making the main event, everything seemingly remained the same. However, do not be fooled as this BT EXCEL team looks like the strongest team NLC has ever sent. Big thanks to Advienne’s playmaking moves around the map and strong laning phase, he has made this list as one of the players to watch out for.

Lider (midlaner) – mousesports #2 Prime League Pro Division 2021 Spring Playoffs

The only name you might recognize from previous tournaments on this list, is Lider. He has surprised friend and foe in the past as he stays one of the best European midlaners to not be a part of an LEC starting roster. He had quite some coinflip performances in the past and a reputation of having an ego that was hard to work with. Nevertheless, that is all in the past and Lider has reformed, improved and is ready to showcase what some LEC teams are missing out on. Will he get his hands on an Irelia or Yone pick this tournament?

As mentioned before, all the players at the European Masters are to be kept an eye on. They managed to dominate their region and are now facing new opponents of the same strength. The legends of tomorrow will be born today, here at this event. It is all or nothing and this might be the biggest chance some of these players will ever have in their career.
