100 Thieves unveils 2022 VALORANT roster

100 Thieves announced its official 2022 VALORANT team on Twitter. The organization has actively reworked its starting lineup ever since the end of its 2021 competitive season. Following the announcement, 100 Thieves 2022 lineup will include Hiko, Asuna, Ethan, BabyJ, and Ec1s.

BabyJ will join 100 Thieves after a relatively short stint on FaZe Clan. The 23-year-old joined FaZe in the later part of 2021, though finding individual success the team largely struggled domestically. As FaZe has also rebuilt its roster, centered around Babybay, BabyJ will find a new home on 100 Thieves.

Ec1s will be one of the first ‘imported’ players, making the move from Europe to North America. The IGL played on Team Liquid before Jamppi was eventually integrated onto the roster. Floating around the European free agency scene after a brief appearance on Ninjas In Pyjamas, Ec1s will start on a North American team for the first time in his career.

100 Thieves looks to rebound in 2022 after a disappointing end to the first VCT. Though winning First Strike and making an appearance at Masters Berlin, the squad failed to qualify for VCT Champions after dropping to Cloud9 in the qualifiers. Shortly after, 100 Thieves dropped former IGL Steel and Nitr0.

Nitr0 left the squad early in the offseason, since returning to Team Liquid’s CS:GO division. Building upon the core trio of Asuna, Ethan, and Hiko, the team hopes to build upon the success the squad erratically found in 2021.
