100 Thieves confirms that Nitr0 is leaving, is he returning to CS:GO?

100 Thieves announced on Twitter that Nitr0 is set to depart from the organization’s VALORANT roster. The esports team stated this is part of its ongoing efforts to re-tool its VALORANT division. This news comes in light of the IGL’s departure, Steel, and subsequent signing to T1.

Nitr0 joined the 100 Thieves VALORANT squad earlier in the year, following his departure from Team Liquid’s CS:GO team. As part of the roster, Nitr0 was integral to 100 Thieves’ early VALORANT tournaments. The FPS player contributed to the team’s win at First Strike and following appearance at Masters Berlin.

100 Thieves ended the competitive season on a poor note, as the squad failed to qualify for VCT Champions after being knocked out rather early in the tournament. Though 100 Thieves have since sought to overhaul and re-tool its VALORANT roster, the team has not announced the players who will fill the voids left by Nitr0, Steel, and potentially more.

Rumors have swirled around Nitr0’s future move, including a potential return to CS:GO. Team Liquid are similarly looking to renovate its CS:GO roster following disappointing finishes at the PGL Major and recent BLAST series. The team is reportedly interested in picking up oSee and welcoming Nitr0 back to the team.

Both FalleN and Stewie2K are supposedly on the verge of being dropping, leaving these two vacant spots open for Nitr0. Though much of CS:GO still remains in Europe, a reason why Nitr0 originally left the scene, it seems that both parties are keen on a reunion.
