OpTic Gaming is adding another title to the upcoming Optic Arena slated for 8 June through 10 June. The event will unfold at the A-Kon 2018 venue in Texas. NGAGE Esports, property of OpTic’s parent company Infinite Esports and Entertainment, has also endorsed the move.

In essence, the upcoming competition will put 60 players in Fortnite, a battle royale game that has been gaining popularity. Optic Gaming will field its own representatives in spectator-friendly matches with attendees participating.

OpTic is adding Fortnite to the selection of titles, including Super Smash Bros. Melee, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Street Fighter V.

The spoils of war will see the winner claim a golden ticket to visit Epic Games at the E3 expo in Los Angeles that will open take place on 12 June through 14 June. The latest event supplements another tournament announced by Halo legend and twitch celebrity Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins.

Meanwhile, the battle royale genre seems to be shaping up nicely, with representative titles gaining overall popularity and H1Z1 Pro League becoming the world’s first professional league.
