God-King Darius and Garen coming to PBE

By Boyan Penev League of Legends 13 Jun 2018 666 views

Riot Games have announced new themed skins for their two iconic top lane champions, Darius and Garen. The two skins, called God-King Garen and God-King Darius, will be a part of an upcoming “Versus” event, similar to last year’s Dawnbringer Riven and Nightbringer Yasuo.

Both skins share an animal motif, with Garen’s being a white lion and Darius’ – a crimson wolf. The two ghostly animals also appear during recall and death animations, as well as Darius’ ultimate animation. The champions have been noted rivals in League of Legends’ role as leading figures in Demacia and Noxus, iconic enemies in the game world of Runeterra.

Both are top lane fighters who combine a fair bit of resilience with a fairly large amount of damage. While no prices or release date have so far been announced, the previous week’s event skins cost 1,820 RP and it is very likely that these skins will sell at a similar price. The timing of the announcement would likely mean a patch 8.13 release. The same patch will most probably introduce the new Aatrox, though this is only our estimation – Riot Games has many times warned that any PBE content might be delayed if needed.
