ESL continues with its spate of partnerships by adding German shipping and logistics company DHL. The company will offer courier services for the competitive organisation and also assist with the logistics of ESL’s tournaments.
As part of its responsibilities, DHL will be in charge of equipment transportation, including gaming gear. ESL will also utilise its multi-channel offer to advertise DHL across social media and all publicly available news releases about ESL’s flagship events – ESL One.
DHL Group head of corporate brand marketing Arjan Sissing said:
‘We are delighted to have found a partner in ESL that is one of the leading players in the international export business. Through our partnership, we intend to create unique moments that bring people together.’
DHL will commence its partnership with the eSports organisation by assisting at the ESL One Birmingham, which will be the first Dota 2 Major to ever be held in the United Kingdom.
DHL has been partnering with other eSports organisations as well. The company is also the official partner of the F1 eSports series as part of an ongoing deal it had with Formula 1 since 2004. DHL hopes to reach to new audiences by extending its offer to the world of professional gaming.
