Microsoft and ESL have decided to collaborate on their Esports Academy in Sydney, Australia. The event will take place at Sydney’s Microsoft Store from 16 April through 22 April.

The partnership will seek to educate newcomers in the industry. The event will feature key speakers, such as casters and eSports professionals, including Jayke ‘Jayke’ Paulsen and Rohan ‘Brucey’ Bruce, known in League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, respectively.

Other attendees are expected, including eSports organisation Dark Sided co-owner Max Ferfoglia and ESL Australia’s Danny Kim. Kim has expressed his satisfaction with the decision of a retail space to try and engage with fans in the country directly. He saw it as an opportunity for people to familiarise themselves with eSports by mingling with some of the industry’s experts.
