Community designer RVV_Design has crafted an OpTic Gaming-themed skin for the popular battle royale game Fortnite. The work of designers who want to deck out professionals and fans’ avatars with their own distinct features. Naturally, any custom work that is employed en masse thereafter will have to be submitted to the same criteria in order to be competitive.

Previously, a The Rise Nation designer has worked on weapon skins for OpTic Gaming. The idea of having community-made or professional in-game wares to help promote brands and eSports organisation is not new. It goes back to Counter-Strike’s earliest iterations and MOBA titles have successfully implemented team-specific banners and other markings.

Fortnite has adopted a lot from H1Z1 and PlayerUnknown’s Battleground, and the game has recently outstripped League of Legends in terms of pure viewership on Twitch, Gameloco has reported.

In a similar vein, Fortnite has already attracted established eSports organisations, including FaZe Clan and Team SoloMid. While no official competition has been announced, bar an upcoming show event in April, the game is well-poised to explode on the competitive title.

Fortnite could very well rake in significant proceedings with fans and even professional teams showing interest in purchasing the goods.
