KAPPA BAR OPENS IN JÖNKÖPING, AIMS FOR 40 VENUES IN SWEDEN

Popular eSports restaurant chain Kappa Bar is opening a new property in Jönköping, Sweden. More properties are already operational all across the Scandinavian region, with bars in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark available to eSports enthusiasts.

Last December, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP)’s Emil ‘HeatoN’ Christean contributed an undisclosed amount to help the further development of the brand. Christean is known for his legendary status in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as one of the world’s best players of all time.

The chain opened doors in May 2016 in Göteborg, founded by Robert Dragovic, Klas Bergqvist, Henric Lettberger and Christoffer Morsing. The brand plans to expand to 40 restaurants in Sweden alone and push another expansion across the globe.

The Kappa Bar resembles traditional sports bars popular across the United States with the only difference being that it brings together eSports enthusiasts, offering open spaces to watch major events, gaming huts, food and beverages.
