Yesterday, 4 April, TheFatRat submitted the long-awaited music pack to Steam Workshop. It’s been known that’s he’s working on this project for quite a while now and finally we have an update. For now, it’s still not available on the Steam store, but that should be happening soon enough.

For the unenlightened, TheFatRat, aka Christian Friedrich Johannes Büttner, is a German EDM musician, but his style is better described as ‘glitch-hop’. He started producing music back in 2001 by making background themes for TV, radio and advertisements, but his fame really grew in 2011 when he started his solo career.

With the release of his first EP he started using the current pseudonym. Christian’s music has been used in over 1.5 million videos in YouTubе, mainly related to games, so you could say it’s quite popular and gaming made him famous. He’s also been part of eSports lately, performing live during several ESL events, most notably the ESL One Cologne and the ESL One Hamburg. You can check a quick interview with him from the latter, where he briefly shares his thoughts about the competitive scene.

Even though the music pack is not officially released in the game, you can catch glimpses and get a good idea how it’ll sound from his social media. Here’s a quick example that’ll be a battle theme.
