This year’s edition of the E3 gaming expo will take place in the Los Angeles Convention Centre in June, with a series of noteworthy events, including a Splatoon 2 and Super Smash Bros. competitions.

More specifically, the E3 expo will host the Splatoon 2 world championships’ finals, slated for 12 and 14 June. Meanwhile, the Smash Bros. competition will put Nintendo Switch in the limelight whereas the Splatoon 2 tournament will have people from all over the world coming to face off equally gifted players.

The European circuit of the Splatoon competition will take place during the Polymanga expo in Sweden and allow European teams a chance to qualify for the world championships’ finals. The event will take place between 30 and 31 March with the finals aired on Nintendo France’s official YouTube channel and Twitch.

Nintendo will use the Battlefy platform which will host sessions for the Inkling Open 2018 for the United States and Canada. Winners will be allowed to the Splatoon 2 competitions later in June. Nintendo will post separately information about other regions where Splatoon competitions will take place, including Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
