Energy drinks company eNgage has overcome great odds and finally announced its expansion in China by simultaneously signing up a partnership with Chinese eSports powerhouse LGD Gaming.

eNgage will provide LGD Gaming’s rosters with energy drinks, which will help players stay alert and maintain their performance throughout tournaments.

The company’s success is particularly noteworthy given the fraught context of other energy drinks companies in China. In the past, Monster Energy hit a snag when it attempted to expand its operations in the country, citing competition and trademark problems as the main reasons.

eNgage stands to benefit from the deal well as China is one of the largest energy markets in the world. The company will also enjoy a 500-seat eSports venue in Hangzhou. LGD Gaming are an established eSports organisation with a significant record of accomplishment in mainstream titles, such as Dota 2 and League of Legends.
