OpTic Gaming, a team which is set to debut on this year’s NA LCS, has announced its roster for the NA Academy League on Wednesday.

Niship “Dhokla” Doshi will play in the top lane. Kadircan "Kadir" MumcuoÄŸlu is the team’s jungler. Cristian "Palafox" Palafox will be in the mid lane. Andrew "Andy" Forman is AD Carry and Olivier "Winter" Lapointe will be in the support position.

Unlike other academy rosters, this one includes very young and inexperienced players, except for Kadir, who despite his young age has played for teams such as Misfits Academy and Origen Academy in Europe, and Dhokla who comes from Australian team Sin Gaming.

Presenting an all-rookie team has the advantage of having a lot of room for growth, but the lack of at least one more experienced player can have its downsides.

Created precisely with the aim to foster new talent as a successor to the NA Challenger Series, the NA Academy League begins on Thursday, January 18, 2018, with the first broadcast starting on Friday, January 19.
