WAGAMAMA TO HOLD SECOND DOTA 2 TRAINING CAMP

By Tasho Tashev Dota 2 28 Mar 2018 185 views

For the second year in a row, Niklas ‘Wagamama’ Högström is organising a Dota 2 summer training camp. An event meant for amateurs who want to hone their skills and get a better understanding of the game, the camp is aiming to provide not only a training opportunity but also a pleasant and friendly experience. It will take place near Alvesta, Sweden, from 26 May to 1 June 2018.

Fast Internet in the bowels of a forest, a lake for canoeing, a dedicated swimming area and spacious rooms are just a few of the available amenities. Attendants will be able to join as single players or as a team as long as they’re over 16 years old. Last year, a total of 27 people made it, which to be honest isn’t too impressive.

The coaches participating in the event this year, besides Wagamama, will be:

Admir ‘lizZard’ Salkanović

Daniel ‘Stormstormer’ Schoetzau

Mathis ‘Jabbz’Friesel

Jamal ‘Blazemon’ Sohail

Jann ‘qupe’ Tinnemeier

They will be providing daily sessions in theory as well as in-game practice. There’s also a potential visit by some of Sweden’s finest: Kalle ‘Trixi’ Saarinen, Janne ‘Gorgc’ Stefanovski and Jonathan ‘Loda’ Berg. It’s overall a good initiative for the really hard-core fans who want to meet their idols or simply learn from professionals in an environment that simulates what the actual competitive teams do on a regular basis.

Probably the only downside is that the event will be held in Sweden, which might prove to be too far away for some people. Then we get to the pricing, which, although justified by the organiser’s transparent policy, could be a bit too high for the average player. That further limits the number of people that’ll attend and is most likely to decrease the number of partakers this year.
